Become a NorthCARD Fellow
A Fellowship that Honors Impact, Leadership, and Vision
Fellowship at NorthCARD (North Carolina Academy of Research and Development) is more than a title — it’s a distinguished recognition of individuals who have shaped the future through significant contributions in Public Health, Education, Technology, or Policy.
This mark of excellence is awarded to those who not only lead in their fields but also align with NorthCARD’s mission to drive data-driven, innovative, and inclusive progress globally.
Who Can Apply?
To be considered for the NorthCARD Fellowship, candidates must meet at least three of the following criteria:
Proven Professional Excellence
At least 15 years of senior-level experience as a practitioner, researcher, educator, innovator, or organizational leader.Recognized Impact
Evidence of real-world contributions that have improved knowledge, policy, or practice in one of NorthCARD’s focus areas.Peer Validation
Recognition by respected institutions or professionals — through honors, published work, leadership roles, or program contributions.
Note: Applicants outside traditional academia are welcome — including innovators, social entrepreneurs, or changemakers with demonstrable outcomes and wide recognition.
How to Apply
You can apply through any of the following pathways:
Nomination by a NorthCARD Fellow or Member
Self-nomination, with a seconding letter from a current NorthCARD Fellow or Member
Nomination by a recognized professional body in your country or internationally
Don’t know a seconder? No problem — you can request an interview with a member of the NorthCARD Fellowship Committee.
What to Expect During Evaluation
All applications are reviewed holistically by the NorthCARD Fellowship Committee. While there’s no exam, the Committee may request additional documents or invite you for an interview.
